Where Do They Find These Dieticians?

There are good dieticians, I know. But there appear to be A LOT more bad ones.

And yes, I understand that they’re educated from a textbook written by Kelloggs. And they’re taught to revert to the Governmental Regulated Food Pyramid at all times. But why are they openly trashing low-carb, paleo diets?

Job security?

I suppose when your occupation depends on a consistent flow of unhealthy folks walking through the door, it’s in your best interest to make sure it doesn’t stop…and make sure they never get fixed.

Call me an asshole if you want, but that’s what it looks like for anyone that understands nutrition and metabolism. And that’s sure what it looks like when dieticians are bashing this Super Mom from Australia that’s decided to feed her daughter meat and vegetables instead of breakfast cereal.

“Sorry Shan Cooper, you need to bathe your baby in glucose and fructose, and irritate her gut, so she struggles with her health and body composition for the rest of her life.”

Sounds crazy, but it’s true. These dieticians feel the need to openly attack this mom, that obviously cares more about her baby’s long-term health than they do, while making ridiculous claims that she’s putting her child at risk.

At risk of what?

Not getting diabetes, heart disease and dementia from chronically elevated blood sugar?

Not developing leaky gut, IBS and an auto-immune condition from gut busting whole grains?

Fortunately, the one thing Grace (the baby) is lowering her risk of, is winding up across from one of these nutrition nut-jobs. Which based on the comments below (from Dr. Rosemary Stanton), I’d say they’re not too happy about:

“It’s really not usually a good idea to put a child on such a restricted diet, particularly when there’s no valid grounds for it.”

“Depriving her child of grains and legumes will make it much more difficult to achieve a balanced diet.”

“I’d certainly sound a note of caution (to other people considering following her).”

How anyone schooled in nutrition, that acts as the government-approved advisor for the dietary health of the population can say this, is beyond me.

“Stop feeding your kids vegetables, fruit, and animal protein?”

LOL

Thankfully, parents like the Coopers are ensuring they’ll be less deadbeat dieticians and more bulletproof babies in the future.
